Over 45 million Americans (and counting) hold some amount of Federal student debt. That’s 1 in every 5 people across the country. Student loans are often predatory (yes, even Federal loans), sending borrowers spiraling into debt that might seem impossible to overcome. At Debtless, we’re taking a stance against the predatory debt industry and fighting for complete Federal student loan cancellation.

We’ve canceled over $13 million in consumer debt by beating debt collectors at their own game. They buy debt off the secondary market and use it to harass and intimidate borrowers — we buy it and discharge it completely as a 501(c)(3) with no adverse tax consequences to the debtor. That means, however, we can’t cancel individual debt on request. As we push for Federal cancellation, we want to provide resources that can help you navigate current Federal relief programs.
